The Mills’ annual event “WeWeave” is coming back! Apart from the wonderful music and art experience in the past, a series of brand new cultural festivals will be added to the fifth anniversary line-up. They will take place one after the other, each carrying a unique theme. The series of festivals hopes to build a stage for talents to shine, and to foster a culture of appreciation. “Dessert Carnival” will first come and kick off the hot summer by conquering our taste buds. On 1-2 July, ten local dessert shops hidden in different communities will be gathered. Out of their creativity and craftsmanship, they will bring along nearly 50 exquisite desserts of 10 different styles to dessert lovers in one go, weaving a sweet impact for the hot summer!

Ten local dessert masters will gather in “WeWeave – Dessert Carnival”, namely Little Field, Bakerie.C, Dough Re Mi, Sugar Brothers, Mochi Bird, Wanna Taste Sweet, Happy Roller, Grandma’s Scones, Shan’s Late Studio and Another Story by Another Baker, and bring along their popular handmade desserts to The Mills. It is definitely a rare opportunity to taste lots of popular desserts all at once. In addition to bagels, there will also be doughnuts, Napoleon, cheese tarts, mousse tarts, Palmiers, croissants, cream puffs, mochis, roll cakes, crunchies, English muffins, macarons, puddings and even cheesecakes, the list goes on and on. For two days in a row, let us taste the local handmade desserts that we are proud of, and inject a little sweetness into the souls.

The shops participating in the “Dessert Carnival” come from different backgrounds. Perhaps while appreciating their sweet end products, we can learn the attitude of the pastry chefs and find out how to face life with resilience in adversity, particularly in the climate where businesses are struggling. Looking forward to seeing you there!
