The Mills, established in Tsuen Wan since the 1950s, has revitalized its legacy through community-focused exhibitions and textile collaborations. For the first time, we are partnering with UNIQLO and local illustrators: Mon Cheung, Wing Lo, Wai Wai, and Kazy Chan to launch an exclusive UTme! series. This collection features four unique T-shirt designs inspired by The Mills’ history, artifacts, and community connections. Experience how UNIQLO and The Mills blend tradition with modernity, celebrating the essence of Tsuen Wan through this special LifeWear collection.

The newly launched The Mills UTme! series features four distinct illustrations that capture memorable moments and milestones of The Mills:

A lively depiction of Bruce the cat and his pet strolling and “checking in” at The Mills shopfloor.

Sand bucket, once used for firefighting and now a decorative element in the factory, symbolizes the fusion of old and new cultures through its integration with The Mills architecture.

An artistic portrayal of the “Spun Dragon” at the summer exhibition 2018 opening of CHAT (Centre for Heritage Arts & Textile). Spun Dragon is Taguchi Yukihiro’s collaborative project with local schools, social welfare groups, and the community for CHAT Summer Programme, CHAT Go! Let’s Build a Textile Village, emphasizing how The Mills connects with the community through art.

Adorable cat head illustrations on the old building’s exterior, showcasing The Mills’ transformation into a unique cultural and pet-friendly landmark in Hong Kong.

The Mills UTme! series will be available at designated UNIQLO store in Tsuen Wan

Four exclusive t-shirt designs featuring The Mills UTme! series patterns will be exclusively sold at selected UNIQLO store in Tsuen Wan. Creative individuals can also visit the UNIQLO flagship store in Causeway Bay starting from 6th September to design their own unique UT using the new patterns on the UTme! platform.
